Automotive Detailing, Product Reviews and more!
I am a mechanic as my full time job but love to detail my cars and cars for my friends, family, co-workers and referrals on the weekends. I am not a professional detailer nor do I own my own business. I am just a guy that loves cars and loves them more when they are spotless. I have been doing this since I was 16. I am not the best out there but I love taking a fair looking car and turning into a head turner.
I may do videos on tools, mechanical videos etc. but the majority of my videos will be automotive detailing.

This is scary as I like to go to the desert and explore sometimes there is no phone service. There needs to be a law that a dealer or vehicle sales company must inform customers there is a tracker on the vehicle, and that trackers can not disable a vehicle and can only be used to locate the car if there's a breach of contract. Thanks for sharing. Makes me want to go look under my dash now that my car is paid off, what happens if it's disabled when I'm out in the desert exploring? Thanks for sharing. Best Wishes & Blessings. Keith Noneya
@@keithnoneya There should be a law that the company that pays to have them installed must lay to have them removed when paid off also. They do cause future problems that the owner ends up footing the bill for.

Inside that GPS thing is a SIM card that gets it access to the cellular network. It has an ID (IMEI) and a carrier and that carrier has an account for that card. What we need is to be able to go to the carrier and say "Who owns this account?" and get an answer, so that we can sue the crap out of people hacking the wiring in our vehicles. This is inexcusable.
Fab automotive, just a quick question, your mechanic that installed the bars said it would have been easier to install had they not been pre-wired ? I have a 2012 Electra Glide Classic and I'm getting ready to swap out bars and I'm just wondering what I should order. I know the older bikes prior to 2014 were more involved when swapping out bars. I don't want to waste my money. , in buying something pre-wired from from a company to find out that it's more work for my independent Harley shop to install. Why pay more money for more headaches?
@@anthonyjake9939 I believe 2012 and newer bars are much easier to install pre-wired. I would ask the mechanic you are having do the work what they prefer.

Wow they did a crappy install on that . This shirbhas to be stopped
It isn't a starter kill unless the blue/white wire was actually cut. It was more than likely just a starter sense wire, or an improperly connected device. I'm not even convinced that was a tracker, not without a view of it's label.
@@fixitman2174 oh it was tracking device for sure. Been doing this a long time
It was installed by the owner not the loan payer ie the bank is the legal owner untill it’s paid off they use these to protect there investment most only install them on high risk or bad credit buyers
@@isaacstrade9358 Yes but this vehicle was paid for in cash. I think banks should be responsible with removing them as they cause some major problems in the future.
Do you think this could polish and shine a clear coat after 2k grit sanding orange peel? Great vid btw!!
@@DougieDYT Yes it could. The pad and compound you use are what’s most important.
@@FABAutomotiveDetailing yea, I just bought it. I recently got a 1998 skyline r34 and putting a body kit on it. I had to repair the bumper (came out great) and after spraying, had to wet sand some imperfections and used this and the right pads and it came out great. @@cesarreyes2832 probably not going to have enough power for that.
Buy here / pay here used car dealers use these a lot. If you live in a sketchy neighborhood they will wait till you're at the grocery store, Wal-Mart etc. to disable the car. It is much safer for the repo man that way.

So the finishing polish cleared 3000 grit. I just seen a short video where the guy used 3000 grit wet sand instead of claying. (Detail 2 Dreamy) Or something like that is channel name. My question is how many polishes are able to get rid of 3000 grit ? I have a G9 and already went over half a Honda Accord 08 and there's little spots I'm wondering if I have to wet sand... I'd want to try and polish the 3000 grit out of the test spot if it barely works.

Great soap, love that it comes in 32oz bottles.
Man, those splice jobs on your truck are a complete mess. I had a similar issue. One was found on my 2016 RAM 3500. Bought a new RAM in 2016 in North TX. Two years ago, I started having an issue with my fuel gauge reading incorrectly and so I took it to the dealer to diagnose it. Ultimately, after a month and a half spent in the shop, 1 wiring harness, 3 fuel pumps, 3 gauge clusters, and misc electrical troubleshooting the service dept on a tip from another TX Ram dealer recommended they go check in the wheel well behind the liner, sure nuff. The tracker was found buried deep in the harness. The splices had been made and had started to corrode the harness where all the splices were made, causing a substantial drop in voltage to the fuel gauge system.
The company that pays to have the trackers installed should be responsible for removing them when done. They have caused people like you to spend money and in some cases a lot of money because of them.
@@FABAutomotiveDetailingFortunately for me, the dealer did not charge me for the majority of the work. They received 2 bad fuel pumps, and 1 defective gauge cluster, plus all the other electrical troubleshooting. Definitely a deceptive practice.
use a regular eraser- works great
I found a tracking device a a RV that I recently bought. looks a bit different than the one in the video. has the word stargard on the label. it was taped into the wires near the obd port. check any type of vehicle.

@@adam1885282 yes they do have great stuff. Individual sockets would have to be sold on the truck. They sell them individually online just not in the store.
Full car with 1 battery is more of a 6ah and polishing (not really paint correction). I ordered new pads, I need better color coding as I’m partly colorblind. Doing a full vehicle with paint correction, may want a corded one. Doing spot correction or if you’re like me and have a 6 battery charger then it’s not bad for the occasional work.
What type of dressing ir protectant do you add on Rubber mats
You should know because they make you pay for them from what I heard The government the newer vehicle is and depending on what kind of vehicle you have they can find you a GMC they have that I’m trying to think of what it’s called if you get into a wreck or something like that the buttons above your head but I just bought a Toyota Tacoma and I seen some videos where some Toyotas had them and people took them off and turn them back to the dealership I’m gonna do the same thing
So this is being driven by Finance Company's? It is illegal to do this without the owners knowledge. Very unsafe to be remotely shutting down someones ability to start their car. Get your own financing and make the seller sign an affidavit that there are no tracking devices on the car. Then sue their pants off if you find one.
I bought a 2022 Roush Mustang and there were Supposed Tire Pressure Sensor triggered, noted on scene 3:40 it always happened on a Distance Drive always 30 miles from my home... it turned as soon as I was 2 miles away from home. Tracking miles and matching to your actual miles driven... Sell collect thru USB-(C) data, & or BlueTooth Connection as Well they have a SIM Card. 👨🏻🤘🏻🏎️🏁🚩🌲⛰️🧗🏻 Cool video.
the dealership technically owns the vehicle until the buyer or lessee pays off the loan, they have the legal right to track the car's location. Removing a GPS tracker from a financed car without the dealership's permission is illegal.
When a vehicle is financed or leased the dealer owns nothing. They are given money by the financing entity who then assumes lien status on the title. The dealer owns nothing. Dealers cannot track. There is nothing illegal about removing a tracker.

@@apa7611 Before opening your mouth again please go study property law. For that matter learn who gets ownership of a vehicle after a sale. (Hint: It's not the dealer unless it's a buy-here-pay-here lot). Furthermore, you don't get to arbitrarily track people without an agreement of some sort. The people who said to look through their contracts are correct. A breach of a contract, however, doesn't make a violation of said contract "illegal", it just means the contract was voided by one parties violation of terms and agreements. You are welcome! You get what you pay for. KochChemie GSF is the only soap comparable to this and it is even more expensive than this soap. Quality over price in anything I buy is more important to me unless it’s crazy overpriced. I mean $3 per wash is rather cheap and safer than going to a car wash and paying $10-$12.
Hi. A little old but have to ask dors it have cylinder balance and topology? If not do you know which model 8? have the options?
The tracker was probably overheating because it couldn't connect to its cellular data network. They automatically max out the transmitter power when searching for a new tower
